Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 28, 2026

1. Service Description

MediMate provides voice call assistance for elderly care through AI-powered conversation and connection to caregivers. The service includes:

2. What MediMate is NOT

MediMate is NOT a medical service. We do NOT diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatments, prescribe medications, provide medical advice, offer emergency services, or replace doctors, nurses, or medical professionals.

3. Emergency disclaimer

Never use MediMate for emergencies.
For emergencies, immediately call 911 (United States), your local emergency number, or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Do not use MediMate if you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms, loss of consciousness, or any life-threatening condition.

4. AI technology & recording

5. User responsibilities

By using MediMate, you agree to provide accurate information when you sign in or connect your profile; keep your sign-in method secure (for example, do not forward one-time sign-in links intended only for you); use the service for its intended purpose only; not use the service for illegal activities; and understand this is not a medical service.

6. Fees

MediMate offers a free tier and paid plans. If you subscribe directly, pricing, billing frequency, and any usage-based charges (such as additional call minutes) are shown in the app before you're charged, and are billed through your device's app store account. If your access is instead provided through a partner organization that provisions eligible users, that organization's agreement with us governs any fees for your access. Either way, you can review your current plan and cancel at any time from the app or your app store account settings.

7. Privacy & data

Your data is collected and used as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Service availability

MediMate is provided "AS IS" without guarantees of uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We are not responsible for service interruptions, network issues, or device-compatibility problems.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: you use MediMate at your own risk; we are not liable for any medical outcomes, emergencies, or health-related decisions; and we are not liable for technical failures, missed calls, or delayed notifications.

10. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, use the service abusively or illegally, or threaten or harass staff or other users.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
